MRI of a Head
In a continuing effort to meet the healthcare needs of Barnesville and the surrounding communities, Barnesville Hospital has expanded the availability of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) services. MRI is an important diagnostic tool for use in evaluating and treating a variety of medical symptoms and conditions, including acute confusion, dizziness, headaches, stroke, low back pain, and joint injuries.
The GE 1.5 tesla scanner, considered the industry standard, is valuable for imaging all parts of the body. Using magnets, radio waves, and computers, it is possible to create detailed, cross sectional pictures of the body. Taking an average of 20-40 minutes to complete, the process is quick and painless and provides your doctor with information needed to plan treatment.
MRI services will be available weekly on Monday and Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. To schedule outpatient appointments, please contact our Central Schedulers @ 425-5123. Go Back
